Knowledge Is Power: Nas Introduces Harvard Fellowship
Nas pays a visit to the prestigious Harvard University to introduce the new initiative of the W.E.B Du Bois Institute, The Nasir Jones Hip-Hop Fellowship.
Nas was in attendance at Harvard University yesterday to announce the brand new Hip Hop fellowship by the Hip-Hop Archives and the W.E.B Du Bois Institute. The Nasir Jones Hip-Hop Fellowship is the result of a major endowment from an anonymous donor and will fund scholars and artists who show productive scholarship and creative potential in the arts in connection with hip-hop. Speaking to students and educators, Nas, a high school drop out, explained how instrumental music was to his own education. The legendary artist went further to explain how hip-hop is just as important to society in this era as computer science. Nas spent the day at the university speaking and working closely with students.

Hennessy and Nas recently came together to celebrate the latest induction to the Hennessy Wild Rabbit campaign, Martin Campbell. An English racing motorist who devoted his life to the pursuit of speed, Campbell is listed in history as the greatest speed record chaser of all time. Through his career he set a total of nine world land speed records and was also the first human to break the 300 mph barrier. Martin passed away in 1948 but his legacy still lives on and inspires those who “Never Stop” and “Never Settle”. Nas narrates the new Hennessy advertisement celebrating the passion and devotion of Martin Campbell’s need for speed.
